Working in a company that values OT employees over those who complete their work on time is toxic, especially when OT isn't paid, which makes it even more unfair.
I'm lucky to have a manager that's understanding and fair, but I know people who put in extra hours just to get a promotion or even just to be recognized for their efforts.
Companies/managers should understand that everyone, not just some people, has commitments outside of work. Regarding if they're single, young, or child-free.
