盡量每日一thread直至考DSE為止 dsechemistry Alloy 其實唔係一個 compound，而只係一種 metal 同其他 element 嘅 mixture。例如 brass（copper 同 zinc）同 stainless steel（iron、carbon 同 chromium）都係常見嘅 alloy。 同 pure metal 比較，alloy 一般會硬啲。因為加入唔同 atomic size 嘅 atom 之後，原本整齊排列嘅 metal atoms 會被打亂。本來 pure metal 入面，metal atom layers 係可以容易咁 slide over each other，所以有較高嘅 malleability。但喺 alloy 入面，由於 atoms 排列變得唔規則，layers 唔可以輕易滑動，令到 alloy 變得 harder 同 less malleable。
