If you can read Chinese then buy this book called 通勝 which they would issue yearly If I remember correctly in the ancient times the farmer would rely on this calendar to see what the weather going to be eg they would name tomorrow is the first day of spring (立春）or (大寒) probably the coldest day of the year blah blah blah sometimes it is quite accurate Farmer in Chinese called 農民 then I don’t know that related to the name of calendar 農曆 Lunar calenda It is fun to understand more the history

The Chinese people are just arrogant and self-centric for centuries. Their country name (in Chinese)itself telling the same mindset, it literally means the nation in centre of world🙄 The funniest part is Chinese calendar was recreating from Muslim calendar and largely revised by Christian missionaries. Propaganda educated them it's their own stuff and be proud of it 😮‍💨

The fact: Lunar New Year is celebrated by Muslim, the Chinese New Year is based on lunisolar calendar.
