Thanks ❤️ You’re not a whinger. I’m grateful that you’re willing to talk about it. I’ve been disabled for years but am new to hearing loss, still adjusting. I’ve followed creators purely because they caption, comment with a “thanks for captioning”… feel the warm fuzzies because they reply with something nice… and next vid: no captions. I tried threads hoping it’d be better, but it’s worse here than insta or YT. Lots of videos and not a subtitle in sight. Makes me feel so flat & sad.

I have stopped following creators who don’t caption their stuff because it is a lot of mental energy to try & lip read, plus sometimes I don’t have my hearing aides in & so if I cannot watch their content without them in, I won’t watch their video. I do often thank them for captioning but no one ever sees it or replies, so idk if they care or not 🤷🏻‍♀️ 1/3
