If you went to what is now Greece 200 years ago in 1824 you would find a country that was 95% Muslim Arab. The Parthenon was turned into a Mosque. The Greek People were a Diaspora all over the world because they refused to convert away from Orthodox Greek to Islam. So they fled. . Inspired by the Liberty of the American Revolution, Greeks banded together to heroically remove Islam from their historic homeland. This was so inspiring to the Jews that the Greek Success inspired Zionism.
