If you’re Malay, Indian, or from any other background, and you know that you have the skills and ability to perform in the job, don’t be afraid to demand a higher salary. Be confident! The truth no one tells you is that, in many companies, Chinese employees often receive higher salaries for the same role, simply because they’re seen as more qualified or experienced, even when it’s not true.
