Downy thornapple (datura inoxia) is my favourite datura species to grow. The seeds are viable for years and are easy to germinate, seedlings and young plants transplant well, it grows fast, it’s a soil remediator, it can grow in poor soil, it’s adaptable to many climates, it’s drought and heat tolerant, it blooms all summer and into fall, it’s mostly night-blooming, the flowers smell amazing, and imo it is the most attractive of the daturas (though I’m biased after growing it for a decade).
