Oh my word, I know this! Dad and I used to text during the rugby games (we were separated geographically) and part of me STILL (three years on) aches to pick up that phone and text about the game. It will probably never go away completely.

Firsts are by far the worst I found. I’ll have been 5 years without my Dad in April. He was a very proud Welshman, whereas I was born and raised in Scotland to him an my Scottish Mum. When it came to the Six Nations (or Five Nations as was!), on Scotland v Wales day, he’d always say “who are you supporting today then my dear”, and I’d always say “whoever wins Dad!”! I always stand for both anthems. I still think I can phone him. I still text his phone! Hope his number isn’t anyone else’s 😳 Hugs.
