not every autistic is “good” at their special interest. two of my special interests are theatre and writing. i’m known as a talented writer. I’ve gotten a lot of opportunities related to it and my self esteem regarding my writing is extremely high. acting, not so much. im not the best actor in the world, i haven’t gotten cast in a play or musical since i was 15 years old. i love theatre but engaging with it hurts because i know ill never get many opportunities related to it.
