I usually do 2, maybe 3 muscle groups. But I split mine. So one day I'll focus on push muscles (shoulders, chest, tricep) Other day I'll focus on pull muscles (back, bicep, forearm) And then I'll do legs, and core.

If you have time in your schedule, you can spread out the training for muscle groups. If you only have 2-3 days, then combine them. There are different variations like chest& Tri, back&bi, legs… etc. experiment and see what works best for you!
