Alright, the day has arrived. February 2nd. The day that changed my life. I need help today. Don't want to remember. "Stop thinking about it Mandie!" Or "It's been so long, why can't you get over it?" Well I don't know. I've had years of counseling. But this date.. I remember it with reverence. 36 years ago. 1989. Age 10. Home from 5th grade for early release by 1pm. Dad left for work. Mom went to the bathroom but I was watching Nickelodeon (Marc Summers, Truth or Dare) so I didn't notice. 1/

You did your best for your mum and tried helping her, that cannot be achieved when your mum didn’t want help and held you back. But you were there for her and at such a young age, your mother should have known better, but when you are in such a state you don’t see clearly. Accept what happened and accept you did the best for your mum. ✨🩷
