Yes at the age of 14, the horror of anyone looking was real, but I was in so much pain I didn’t care! As long as they are not weird and fix whatever is the issue I don’t mind.

Yes and no - not awkward. It’s all we had. Our drs in small town rural area were all men. My first female dr was in college. I don’t really care as long as I’m well cared for -

First one was a nightmare . The other delivered my 2 kids. He was very compassionate.

My male obgyn was the gentlest of everyone in his practice. Also the kindest. He delivered both my kids in a way that was also very thoughtful to my comfort. He saved my son from having brain damage or worse because he saw just the tiniest blip on the heart monitor and knew the cord was wrapped around his neck and fixed the issue during delivery. I wouldn’t have thought I would go to a male obgyn years ago but mine is incredible.

I’ve always gone to a male GYN and the doctor that delivered my last son is now my husband (12 years later). Wasn’t awkward all. We will celebrate 25 years in August.

Two of my kids were delivered by men and I had no issues (one I absolutely loved). But before that, my gynecologist all through my teen years was a man and he was absolutely great. He was a little older. He covered for me to get birth control when I was a teen so I didn't come back to him pregnant. He didn't lie to my mom, but he made it sound more medical than it was. Loved him.

honestly, wasn’t awkward for me. he respected my boundaries (like when i was pregnant & didn’t want my cervix checked), he was a good guy. me and my sister both went to him 😬😆. you just have to find the right person , set your boundaries , and if you get a bad vibe , don’t stick around .
