I said no once to someone that in the beginning did all of the socially acceptable friendly things. On paper, they looked fine. I had to be around this person. I didn't need to have a close relationship, but they were around. I kept my distance. They asked for something that I couldn't do for them and that led to bullying and harassment. These people say all the "right things." 3/6

You see, they are always correct and do not have any self awareness. I immediately thought, you are saying you wouldn't treat me like this, but it's perfectly acceptable for you to keep crossing my boundaries and not listen when I say no? They use platitudes and don't understand nuance. To them, they are always right and they will tell 4/6
