I really like Mo, the show on Netflix. For so many reasons but especially because I’ve lived in Houston off and on for about 13 years now and they’ve perfectly captured the essence of Houston to me. The multicultural-ness. My first friend was a woman from Pakistan. We’re still friends. I know people from Palestine here. Everything is in a strip mall. Everything. The gangster with a fake leg, one of my favorites in town has a fake eye…. It’s the first show to really showcase the life.
