I know someone connected to the Terrifier franchise, but I don't know Damien Leone. so I'm going to be careful phrasing this... Leone didn't need to say anything if he didn't have any political views worth expressing. The fact that he knows a vocal segment of the slasher (not horror broadly, but specifically slasher) fan base is conservative he's absolutely signaling to them. We post to communicate & he communicated whether he wants to admit it or not.
