Acknowledge the injustice of it all, the lack of accountability, the pain and the cruelty they inflicted upon you. Accept that you’ll never receive an apology, accept that they were never worth your time. Should you regret being authentic and kind? No. Don’t stop being you; you did the best you could but they didn’t. You extended kindness and they returned it with cruelty. You were being genuine and they were being manipulative. ⬇️
