I saw a video about a dog that never has heard "good boy" because his ears didn't go up as if he knew what was being said and the assumption was "everyone would say good boy" to a dog. I never ever said good boy to my dog. As a teacher, I also never said good boy or good girl to the kids. With the kids, it was intentional. I wanted them to feel like they could be themselves and not shoot for the "good child" label because it messes with people's psyche. 1/3
