People from Michigan are called "Michiganders". Yes, with a 'd' in it. This is so trucked up that the TV stations used to play public service announcements between each TV show during primetime (better known as "Home-Improvement-All-The-Time Time"), just to get some percentage of the state knowing what the hell they are called.
