Trying to decide if your 16 1/2yr old cat is happy or needs to go to heaven is the hardest decision ever. 😭 Fully blind, always wants outdoors but can't go, physically hurting himself cause he can't see BUT purrs, eats, drinks, cuddles, grooms, seems happy when he's not circling in confusion. We love him and want him forever but it's not about us.

My blind cast with onset kitty dementia lived another year before her bodily functions started to fail. Enjoy the times you have, get in those cuddles and purrs, buy a harness to take him outside or put in a catio. He'll get the hang of being blind and have good quality of life.

But I've always believed that is quality of life over quantity. Look into how to make things easier for a cat that's lost their sight. Not moving furniture toys with noises. Toys with catnip. Give him lots of love and cuddles especially when he seems confused

The year before we would have a couple of bad nights but she would always bounce back and play with the other cat. The last night she stopped eating, she wouldn’t let me pick her up, she bit me and only ran 2 ft and just stared at the wall and the other cat stopped going near her. You will know when it’s time my only suggestion plan ahead so it’s not a Sunday I had to go to emergency vet which cost $450.

He can take care of himself. He is happy,loved,and God lets him live. Why put down healthy buddy, uou are not even sure he is unhappy. My healthy cat also gets nervous by some things i dont let him do. children,or even grown people also, same.try cat balcony or backpack.put him ONLY if he suffers physically with no treatment
