Don't pin your hopes on heroes. Why? Because by definition, they're not YOU. When we look to magic bullets, saviors, Hail Mary plays, Deus ex machina... we are taking energy away from the fact that if someone is going to save us, it's most likely not going to be someone ELSE. And we forget that even our heroes need to stand on our shoulders to hero.
