Also known as the "Gateway to Hell," the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia is one of the hottest places on Earth, with year-round temperatures averaging 34–35°C (93–95°F) and often exceeding 50°C (122°F) in summer. On my 3-day expedition, I explored active volcanoes, lava lake, sulfur springs, vast salt lakes, and otherworldly landscapes. It is one of the most unique places in the world and I'm so grateful to witness so many incredible places in such a short amount of time.
