I'm not a religious person. But in times of great stress and general fear, such as the time we are in now, the days and weeks following 9/11, the Iranian hostage crisis, et. al., I sometimes turn to my upbringing in the church. I find this psalm of particular efficacy in describing the peril we are in. It only asks for freedom from fear. I will add it here:
