Story time. I had a hysterectomy due to excruciating period pain and constant, never ending cramps (all month long) that turned out to be endometriosis on my bladder and pelvic congestion syndrome. My period stopped my life in its tracks and after almost a year of discussion with my psychiatric team, I made the choice to have the hysterectomy. I don’t regret it, but it was hard. (1)
