As a reminder to Christians who are celebrating Trump’s new task force to protect Christianity: they will come after you, too. You are never the right type of Christian. Never the correct doctrine. Never the right synod. They have always killed the heretics, and all it takes to be a heretic is to be different than them. You think authoritarianism protects you, but it doesn’t. Once it’s eaten us, it will eat you, too.
