Last night we watched ‘Some Like it Hot’ (1959) and, my god, it has held up. Men dressing as women seems like a problematic premise in 2025, but the commentary in the film is about how society is set up to favour men. It is still a marvellous, wonderful, funny and entertaining film. Lemmon, Curtis and Monroe are in peak form.
