This morning, I made my #wip’s 13-year-old protagonist, feeling all the indignities of adolescence, go to the pictures in June 1934 to see #maureenosullivan and #johnnyweissmüller in #tarzanandhismate. That was very cruel of me. NB These films were a staple of school holidays TV when I was a kid, but are very obviously and irredeemably problematic now.
