Like pop psychology, I feel like people are creating a new standard of pop sociology. But it isn’t enough to know the concept of a social construct if you don’t understand that they aren’t always a bad thing. It’s literally how culture is built. Nothing is black and white, nuance exists.

If society was different, people wouldn’t think my lack of eye contact is weird. If society was different, I could participate in the world at night, when my brain works, rather than during daylight hours. If society were different, the way my brain works wouldn’t be considered a disorder, but an advantage.
