Here's a thing... we as a country hold grudges. The tariffs may stop and the Washington administration may face its greedy eyes elsewhere, but we aren't going to forget. The trust is broken and we'll never naively think the US is our best friendly ally ever again. And maybe that's not such a bad thing.
