Let’s push against the idea that cold feet is normal before marriage. I would argue that cold feet is a warning sign of any of the following 1) you’re not ready for marriage 2) this isn’t the right person 3) not enough time has passed for you to vet normal things like can you navigate conflict and does your partner apologize…or 4) your brain is telling you this is not safe and you’ve had some 🚩 experiences with this person already…

And the whole relationship was 💩 anyway. My second marriage I had ZERO cold feet ZERO. And I think that’s a huge reason why even though we’ve had to deal with betrayal and his addiction recovery we were able to make it- because we had such a solid connection and deep friendship 🩷
