Question for the Pro Tools people: For whatever reason, my system can handle more plugin processing if I keep a hardware insert on my mix bus. If I have a CPU-intensive session running, and disable the hardware insert, playback stops immediately and the system won’t play again until the hardware insert is re-enabled.
