Sure but there's also plenty of evidence of falsified records, which can make even that harder. I've seen it in my own family tree. Absolutely agree, though, that making a big deal of it is the real issue, and kind of the crux of the thread. Many people, and particularly it seems white USians, have a desire to be descended from some long-dead king, when really what's the point?
