I wonder if pencils are one of life’s metaphors? Because I know that I’d wear down the eraser to a sad little nub and still have half a pencil left to use. I’m sure once I see the eraser dwindling, I’d be more careful with what I write, try to make less mistakes which may not be as fun, but it is what is.
