Before I started my MSN program, I emailed my co-workers to let them know I’d be leaving that job to pursue my FNP degree. While in the break room, a white, male co-worker told me that “the grass isn’t greener on the other side.” Then, he proceeded to slam the door behind him. Note: when you are elevating, expect the haters & naysayers to do what they do. Update: the grass IS greener on the other side.
