Some people confused how to use "ng" & "nang". So here's the short & brief explanation.
Ng - Used as a preposition or connector to show possession or object of the verb.
Ex: Kumain NG tinapay si Pedro. (Pedro ate bread.)
Nang - Used as an adverb or conjunction to describe how, when, or why something happened.
Ex: Tumakbo siya NANG mabilis. (He ran fast.)
Quick Tip:
- If you can replace it with "of" or "a/an/the" in English, use "ng."
- If it answers "How?" "When?" or "Why?", use "nang."
