Maybe I've been gifted the privilege of raising a child who: - demands to be truly seen and heard. - uses her voice and body to demand agency and say NO. Because I was destined to break this cycle. Because my mother's "NO" was silenced. And her needs were made invisible. And so were her mother's. And her mother's. And mine. So, now I have a chance to teach my daughter, That I hear and see her. That she isn't invisible. She is magic and light and love and joy. And that her NO matters.
