I love that Metallica are using their platform to spread awareness to their fans about scam artists pretending to be them. Say what you will about them, but at least they are good people. However, this also highlights a wider issue of how easy it is for anyone to pretend to be an entirely different person and abuse the name to sucker unsuspecting people into scams. This shit is unacceptable.
