I agree with most of what you said, except the part you say “there’s typically no headache with the flu”, I’d usually get headaches when I got the flu, (stomach and respiratory) but then again, I’ve been dealing with chronic headaches since I was eight years old. But the headaches were much worse when I’d catch the flu…maybe due to dehydration at times. Each person’s different though.
