I've always had somewhat menial jobs, and several I did really enjoy doing. But then since the day I started working I've heard: "The jobs disappearing are jobs nobody wants" "Those people can just get re-educated and find better jobs" "AI was supposed to eliminate these jobs, not creative jobs" And I do feel for people getting the things they enjoy doing being automated away, but i sure always had the impression that feeling isn't mutual when you don't enjoy the same things.
