Would it be funny if every job worked like many elected officials' jobs do? Like, you convince someone to hire you and then you get a contract of years at once with no probation period and nearly no way to be fired from your job no matter how much you don't fit what the people who hired you were looking for? Not that I have a better idea, or think that politicians have an easy job, but society seems kinda silly in many ways.
