Christians who believe in millions of years and other evolutionary ideas didn’t get them from reading Scripture. They didn’t get those ideas from the book of Genesis. They obtained them outside of Scripture from fallible humans and then have taken those ideas to Scripture to force them upon the words of Scripture. Really, man is their authority—not God!

Hopefully the Scripture can enlighten you on why the 6 days of creation isn’t literally 144 hours.
