2/ Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent for many Christians. Those who observe Lent are asked to devote more time in prayer and scripture, give more of their time in service of others and in some traditions observe fasting on particular days. These acts symbolize the sacrifice of Jesus and are meant to grow a person’s faith in preparation for Easter. 🐣 Lent is NOT a pre-Easter diet. It is about growing in your faith NOT about you shrinking your pants size because you gave up chocolate.
