I’d love to see a cleaned-up print of LATE EXTRA, a quota quickie from 1935 that’s James Mason’s first film. It boasts a great comic turn from Alastair Sim; Virginia Cherrill is fun as an impossibly glamorous reporter too. I watched it for Ian Colin as a morose villain — he’s in my latest novel.
