Mile 1 should NOT be your fastest. Want to run your best race? Follow these pacing rules
1. Start slower than you want to. If mile 1 feels "fast but controlled," it's too fast.
2. Even or negative splits = best results. Slow fade = death march.
3. Late-race energy > early race ego. Save the kick for when it matters.
