In 1952, Summerlea United Church in Lachine, Quebec opened its doors for church services.
Before the roof of this church could be completed they needed a welder to fit the steel beam that runs the entire length of the church.
Fortunately a master welder lived right across the street and he volunteered to do it. That welder was my Dad, Bill Lindsay, who worked for Union Carbide in Montreal.
It is wonderful to see this church still standing and still holding services.
