Does anyone feel that a lot of highly popular Hindi Indie songs focus on vocalisations/singing style and instrumentals but not on flowing and memorable melodies/tunes which you can hum later? I grew up on 60s-90s music which focused on flowing melodies primarily, so may be I notice it even more. I notice that at many places in many recent Indie songs, melody gives way to emoting via vocalisation. What do you think? Does this aspect matter to you as a listener? indiemusic
