When it comes to documentaries, I know that most networks want one of the 3 C’s: cults, crime, celebrities But I don’t like watching any of those! Probably because I was pretty much in a cult and made crime docs. So I don’t want to stay in those worlds when I turn on Netflix or Max. I prefer films that help me understand big social issues or bring me intimately close to people I would otherwise never encounter.
