Seven years later, and even with my beautiful daughters by my side, a single moment can still bring all the pain rushing back. I thought I was okay, but grief has a way of reminding you that some losses never truly heal. Watching a clip from fb, seeing the boy not wanting to leave his mom, made me wonder – did he feel alone? Did he feel scared? It brought back so many questions about my own loss, and the feelings I’ll never fully understand. Grief is full of what-ifs that never seem to go away.
