If your child is showing behaviours that are ‘abnormal’ it is highly likely that they are neurodivergent or are showing early signs of a mental health disorder and/or personality disorder. Punishing them for those behaviours rather than pushing for them to get help will only make them worse. I’m not saying it’s easy. Our current system means it can take several years but not even trying is failing your child.
