I was maybe 6 when I saw a re-run of this episode. Clair (Phylicia Rashad) was raising Sondra, Denise, Theo, Vanessa, Rudy, Pam, Elvin, Olivia and me. Part of the reason I kept my grades up from Kindergarten to College was because, along with my actual mom, I didn’t want to disappoint my tv mom. Nobody read me for filth in my own head at report card time like Clair Huxtable.
