One of the most stunning revelations I had while prepping for this episode was that there is no consensus on the definition of "AI". Among the people developing it, the people marketing it, the people using it, there is no agreed-upon set of goals or use-cases for what is under development. "AI" is such a ubiquitous, overused term as to be almost meaningless. And we're collectively investing billions of dollars and carbon emissions into something we can't even define.
